Shawna Akin

After retiring from a sixteen-year professional ballet career in 1999, Shawna Akin pursued her other great passion, skin care. Miss Akin was fortunate to acquire an aesthetics position with a plastic surgeon who is truly dedicated to education. From there, Shawna went on to work in dermatology, and as the Director of Aesthetics for Calidora Skin Clinic’s seven clinics located in Seattle and Los Angeles. Presently, Miss Akin is practicing aesthetics with well-known Seattle facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Wayne Larrabee, as well as, serving as a consultant and trainer for Providence Physicians. Miss Akin considers continuing education a top priority in order to deliver the best care to her clients and to raise industry standards. Shawna also holds a BFA in theater history.
